TOM FEIST FOUNDATION
The Tom Feist Foundation (TFF) began awarding grants within the Spearville Community during 2014 and within six years has put over $5,000,000 into nonprofit entities that are located or work directly with people in Spearville.
Some of the grants awarded were the sidewalk renovation, a firetruck was purchased and a tornado siren was replaced.

The City of Spearville and surrounding communities are very fortunate to have the opportunity to apply to the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas for grants to improve the quality of life for our residents.
The many generous benefactors who have provided these funds are and were individuals understanding the act of sharing.
City leaders, employees and residents are grateful to the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas board for the support of projects that continue to improve the quality of our city, schools, businesses and living space in general.
EXCESS FLOW VALVE NOTIFICATION
November 7, 2017
In accordance with recent federal pipeline safety regulations, the City of Spearville is required to notify all natural gas customers of the new Excess Flow Valve (EFV) requirements. Installation requirements are expanded to include new or replaced service lines to single family residences, multifamily residences, and small commercial customers with natural gas volumes not exceeding 1,000 standard cubic feet per hour.
